The Wenham Sheppard Possie Cup Invitational got off to a thrilling start on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Benjamin Park, as Roosevelt Skerrit Bombers FC and Marigot United FC battled to an exciting 3–3 draw in the opening match of the tournament.

Bombers FC made a fast start when Devon George opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Moments later, Marigot United unfortunately conceded an own goal, giving Bombers an early 2–0 advantage.

The match quickly intensified, prompting firm action from Referee Sabin, who made it clear early that discipline would be maintained throughout the contest.
