The Grassroots Football Easter Festival 2026, powered by Portsmouth Football Academy in collaboration with Sport Aid Dominica, Bombers FC, and the Hon. Fenella Wenham-Sheppard, is a one-day national event designed to celebrate and strengthen grassroots football in Dominica.

Scheduled for April 9, 2026 at Benjamin Park, the festival will bring together youth players (U11 & U13), families, coaches, and communities in a fun, structured, and engaging football environment. The event will feature local teams alongside a visiting team from Guadeloupe, adding a regional dimension and fostering cultural and sporting exchange.

The event will serve as a showcase of various grassroots football programs, highlighting best practices in youth development while creating opportunities for participation, talent identification, and community engagement.

The festival will feature small-sided games, skills challenges, and family-friendly activities, emphasizing enjoyment, inclusion, and development over competition.

Ultimately, the event aims to increase youth participation, strengthen development pathways, and position Portsmouth as a leader in grassroots football within the Dominica and the region.
