Portsmouth Football Academy Hosts Successful U-11 & U-13 Youth Football Festival

Portsmouth, Dominica – April 9, 2026 — The Portsmouth Football Academy successfully hosted its U-11 and U-13 Youth Football Festival in Portsmouth on Thursday, April 9, 2026, bringing together some of the most promising young football talent from Dominica and the French West Indies.

The one-day festival featured a series of competitive round-robin matches followed by a championship final in the U-13 division, providing a platform for player development, talent identification, and regional football collaboration.

In the U-13 division, Club Sport Guadeloupe emerged as champions after an outstanding unbeaten run, culminating in a 3–0 victory over Newtown JFA in the final. Their dominance throughout the tournament was reflected in both team performance and individual accolades.

Newtown JFB secured the title in the U-11 division, finishing ahead of National FA and Portsmouth FA in a competitive round-robin format that showcased the depth of young talent within Dominica.

  • Best Defender: Zurie Charles
  • Best Midfielder & MVP: Dylon Prevost
